What each fiscal 2026 quarter covers
- Quarter 1 (Feb 1 to May 23, 2026, 16 weeks): late winter into spring, including Easter (April 5, 2026).

Because the year always ends on the Saturday closest to January 31, most years have 52 weeks. Every few years a 53rd week is needed to keep that Saturday alignment. Kroger states in its earnings reports and annual filings when a year has 53 weeks, so investors can compare totals fairly.
