Short answer: Kroger’s next fiscal year starts Sunday, January 31, 2027 and runs until Saturday, January 29, 2028. Fiscal 2026 wraps up the day before, on Saturday, January 30, 2027. It doesn’t follow a January to December calendar, and the year always ends on the Saturday closest to January 31.
One thing to know up front. Kroger hasn’t put out its 2027 quarter dates yet, so I worked these out from the rule it always follows. How the year is counted
- It’s 52 weeks. In 2028 the Saturday nearest January 31 is January 29, only two days early, so no extra 53rd week gets added.

What each fiscal 2027 quarter covers
- Quarter 1 (Jan 31 to May 22, 2027, 16 weeks): winter into spring, with Easter on March 28, 2027.
