Kroger Fan

About KrogerFan

KrogerFan.com began as a simple idea rooted in real store experience. What started as one former employee sharing savings tips has grown into an independent consumer publication covering grocery retail, employee resources, store operations, surveys, and shopping programs across the United States.

We started with Kroger because that was where our story began. Over time, readers asked bigger questions that went beyond one brand. Today, KrogerFan covers Kroger and its family of stores, along with Walmart, Walgreens, Albertsons, Safeway, Panda Express, and other major retailers. Our focus stays the same across every brand. Help shoppers save money, help employees understand workplace systems, and explain how large grocery chains actually work.

KrogerFan is not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with any retailer. We operate independently and publish consumer focused reporting based on firsthand experience, public information, and ongoing verification.

How KrogerFan Started

KrogerFan was founded by Marina Wahyd, a former Kroger employee who spent nearly a decade working inside Kroger stores. During those years, Marina learned how pricing cycles worked, how fuel points really added up, how surveys influenced store performance, and how small timing changes could lead to meaningful savings.

After leaving Kroger, Marina realized she still answered the same questions from friends, family, and former coworkers. When does the weekly ad really reset? How do fuel points expire? Why do surveys matter so much to stores? She built KrogerFan.com to document those answers in one place.

In the early days, Marina handled everything herself. Research, writing, updates, and reader questions all ran through her. As traffic grew and coverage expanded, other contributors joined to support deeper reporting and broader brand coverage.

What We Cover Today

KrogerFan now publishes across several core areas:

  • Weekly ads, promotions, and limited time deals such as the Kroger Weekly Ad and Fred Meyer Weekly Ad

You can explore our broader coverage through sections like Surveys, Kroger Stores, Walmart, and Walgreens.

Our Editorial Standards

Every article published on KrogerFan follows our documented editorial process. Content begins with research by the assigned writer and is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and relevance before publication. Updates occur when programs change, policies shift, or retailers announce new information.

Our editorial standards and verification process are published publicly on our Editorial Policy page.

This process allows readers to understand how information is sourced, reviewed, and corrected when needed.

Our Team

While each team member brings a specific background in finance, accounting, or retail research, content at KrogerFan is created collaboratively. Our writers contribute across news coverage, savings guides, employee resources, and industry updates, with every piece reviewed before publication to ensure accuracy and relevance for readers.
