Fetch Rewards is a free app where you scan your receipts and get points back. A Kroger receipt is just a grocery receipt, so it counts like any other. The points are on top of the fuel points and coupon savings you already get at Kroger, so it’s basically free money if you’re already shopping there. Here’s how it works and what I’d do on a normal Kroger trip.
I went through Fetch’s own help pages on 9/30/26 for the numbers below. They do change things now and then, so check the app if something looks off.
How it works with a Kroger receipt
You shop like normal and keep the paper receipt. Open Fetch, take a picture of it, and the points show up in your balance. Fetch says the points are based on your total after discounts and coupons, before tax, and any physical receipt gets you at least 25 points even if it’s small. Once you’ve saved enough, you swap points for a gift card.
The rules to know
- Scan within 14 days. A physical receipt has to be submitted within 14 days of the date on it.
- 35 receipts a week. Fetch caps it at 35 receipts in any rolling 7 days, which you won’t hit.
- About 1,000 points for $1. Fetch says roughly that in gift cards, and it can be a bit different depending on the store.
- 3,000 points to cash out. That’s the minimum for most rewards.
- Don’t go quiet. If your account sits inactive for 90 days, the points expire.
- Some receipts don’t count. Returns, utility and medical bills, tickets, and takeout slips with no store details.
Offers on brands you buy
Brands pay Fetch to show up in the offers section, and some offers give you extra points for buying a certain product. What you see depends on your account, and you need to load the offer in the app before you buy the item. Scanning the receipt later won’t add an offer you never loaded.
You’ll see some deal sites add a Fetch amount to their “final price” on a deal. I’m not doing that here, because the offers are different for everyone. Look at your own app.
What I’d do on a Kroger trip
Start with the weekly ad and our deals and price history pages to see what’s worth buying. Clip the Kroger digital coupons you need, then open Fetch and load any offers on things you’re already buying. Pay, scan the receipt, done. Kroger’s fuel points and the BOGO deals still work the same, since Fetch only reads the receipt afterwards.
Quick questions
Do I have to link my Kroger card?
Not for paper receipts, you just scan them. Fetch has other options like eReceipts and online purchases, so look in their help center to see what your account can do.
Do coupons lower my points?
They can, a little. Fetch counts the total after discounts, so a bigger discount means a smaller total. You still get the 25 point minimum on a physical receipt.
Is Fetch part of Kroger?
No, it’s a separate company. This site is an independent guide and isn’t affiliated with Fetch or Kroger.
Does it cost anything?
The app is free. You only need your receipts.
